We have designed well over 600 basements in 35+ municipalities in Ontario. Our designs are unique and creative which involves maximum usage of the basement area which complies with the Ontario Building Code (OBC). We make sure your second dwelling unit is in compliance with the OBC and has necessary code requirements met such as egress window, separate entrance, fire separation around the stairs, fire rated door, sprinklers in the furnace room etc. Our team has garnered an extensive knowledge of basement designs with different municipalities and is also aware about the parking requirements for such cities as different municipalities have different parking requirements for second dwelling units.
Permits
You should always do the construction work after the permit is obtained as it is safe to do so and hence a legal way of proceeding forward with any of your renovation projects. These are some of the permits which were issued from different municipalities in Ontario for our clients. These are different permits consisting of custom houses, legal basement, deck, interior renovation, commercial retail stores etc. We make sure that the homeowner or the property owner obtains the permit from the city efficiently when they work with us. Whether it takes 1 or 2 revisions of drawings with the city, we make sure to address those revisions in a timely manner and help them obtain a permit from the municipality.
